A native of Fort Wayne, IN, Kim Curry is the Assistant Pastor of Come As You Are Community Church in the city. Under the leadership of Pastor/Teacher Anthony Payton, he was ordained first as a deacon in January 1998 then into the ministry in May 2009. Kim has been a servant in the CAYACC family for 19 years with a particular passion for teaching/preaching and martial & family counseling. Having served in a number of leadership positions within the church, including Vice President of the board, Kim is now prepared to answer the call that the Lord spoke to him over 10 years ago, Senior Pastor.
Kim is a graduate of Indiana-Purdue University at Fort Wayne, with a degree in Organizational Leadership & Supervision. Professionally, Kim started his career in aviation. He then moved on to become an Industrial Electrician, a Safety Coordinator and most recently has held positions as a Safety & Health Manager/Director, a position that he likes to say is very similar to the ministry. He also serves on the boards of Metro Youth Sports, the Executive Council Ft. Wayne chapter of the NAACP, and the Ivy Tech/Public Safety Academy Advisory Council.
Kim is a veteran of the U.S Navy, having served 8 years and being honorably discharged in July 1990.
Kim has been married to his high school sweetheart, Yolanda, for 30 years. Together they have 2 sons, Neal and Julian, and 4 grandchildren.
