Kim Curry ordained as a Pastor
|
Using II Timothy 4:1-2 as guiding
principles, Pastor Anthony Payton ordained former
Deacon Kim Curry as a Pastor. He admonished Mr. Curry
by giving him the charge to: "Preach the Word; be prepared
in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with
great patience and careful instruction". Reverend
Kim B. Curry and his wife Yolanda have been faithful
members of the congregation for 13 years. |

Church and Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church held a
church planting service, April 10, for Pastor Eugene
C. Staples Sr. of Capernaum Community Church and his

this new ministry. In time like these, he said, God is
still advancing His kingdom in reaching lost souls, who
will become devoted followers of Christ.
The Rev. Staples preached his “first Resurrection” sermon

| SISTERS WHO CARE |
On Wednesday April 30th women from Heart2Heart/Sisters
Who Care traveled across town to share a meal and fellowship
with Mothers and their children who reside at the Charis
House. Charis House is a transitional housing facility
for the homeless and recovering substance abusers.
The ladies were thankful for the outpouring of God's love
on them. A meal was served and there was more than
enough for all of the residents and the staff. Our
sisters even relieved the residents and staff of their usual
clean up duties by taking care of all of those things
so that staff could enjoy the food and fellowship as well.
This so impacted one of the residents that she beamed with
appreciation and verbalized her gratefulness. While
milling about with the residents one woman approached us
and began speaking about her intense desire to have a relationship
with God. She shared that she felt drawn to the sisters
of H2H/SWC because we weren't wearing Jesus' pins, carrying
big Bibles or shoving Jesus down their throats...but we were
walking out the love of God to them!!!
Each woman and child received gift bags and an invitation
to attend our "You Don't Know My Story" original stage
production on May 10, 2008, where we believe the Holy Spirit
will draw them closer to accepting Christ as their Personal
Savior.
Prayer concluded this wonderful day of sharing and caring. |

Regena
Hardy
My name is Regena Hardy. I have been led to serve the
Lord by providing integrity, spirituality, and excellence
to the social service industry. I have an anointed seven
year old blessing named Isaiah who brings joy to my life!
This is a year of completion and new beginnings for me
as I am recently a graduate from the University of Cincinnati
receiving my Master’s Degree from the School of Social
Work and am looking forward to continuing my knowledge
through the completion of my licensure within the next
two years.
Currently, I have been offered full time employment as
a Clinical Provider with a well known Social Service Agency
here in Ohio. However, I want to be certain that I remain
on the path that God has mapped out for me. It is my heart’s
desire to be placed in an arena that the Lord would have
me serve him during this season of my life! Regardless
of where HE places me, I am truly blessed for the opportunity
to work in a field where my professional goals so easily
coincide with my spiritual lifestyle. |
I am Sandra Thomas a proud Come As
You Are Community Church member since 2004. I currently
work as an Intake Coordinator for a Specialized Foster
Care Agency.
In
June 2005 Indiana University’s Masters of Social
Work part time program came to the Indiana-Purdue Fort
Wayne campus. I immediately applied for the program because
for years I thought about obtaining a Masters in Social
Work. However, I was unwilling to travel to the campuses
that offered the program and I did not feel confident because
I had not been to school in 21 years. The last time I was
in school was when I received a Bachelor’s in Public
Affairs from Indiana University in Bloomington.
After I applied, I thought what did I do? What was I thinking?
I can’t do this.
Well with the direction of the greatest navigator of my
life, GOD and the people HE strategically place in my life
I successfully obtained a Masters in Social Work.
While in school and at times feeling discouraged I often
thought about what First Lady Sandy said to me; “If
GOD brought you to it, HE will see you through it”.
I shared this to say; to anyone contemplating going back
to school; ALL things are possible…only Believe
and Trust in GOD.
“GOD is before you, he will be your guide; GOD is
behind you no ill you can betide; GOD is beside you to
comfort and cheer, GOD is all around you, so have no fear.” Anonymous
I like to take this opportunity to thank my CAYACC family
for their support, encouraging words and prayers. |

I am the son of Joe W. & Vicki C (Tucker) Timberlake. I
attended Southern Heights Elementary, Memorial Park Middle
and graduated from Wayne High School in 1992. At a
young age I was told that I could become anything I wanted

I overcame them all. But, I couldn't have gotten this
far in life without my family, loved ones, and the love of
Jesus Christ. I graduated May 17, 2008 from Indiana

Since 2003, the women of S.T.A.N.D. Ministries, Incorporated,
(Sisters Traveling A New Direction) under the leadership
of Founder & Visionary, Minister Lichelle L. Beeler, have
been LEADING people to Christ, TEACHING them life principles
according to the Word of God, and EQUPPING them as witnesses
and workers for Jesus Christ. The original purpose of the
Ministry was to minister to the needs of single women; however,
the Ministry now encompasses women from all walks of life.
At the core of the Ministry is the message of Salvation through
Jesus Christ, the study of the Word of God, prayer and fasting,
spiritual gift development, leadership/ministry training,
evangelism & outreach, and Christian fellowship. S. T. A.
N. D. ministers to women who are new in Christ, who are in
need of spiritual restoration, who desire to grow in their
spiritual walk, and who desire to develop godly relationships.
It is their purpose to teach and equip women that they may
be able to STAND against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians
6:10-18).

| Pastor Curry - Bible Study Style |
I was able to attend Tuesday evening Bible Study and was
so blessed to get to hear Pastor Kim Curry. We were being
taught out of the Book of Ester. At the beginning Pastor
Curry asked everyone what they knew about the book of Ester
and my daughter said nothing. She actually read through the
5 chapters that were being discussed. At the end of class,
she said, "Mom, I read through those chapters when he
told us what we were going to be talking about and I understood
none of it, but by the time he finished teaching the lesson,
I understood it all."
I enjoyed so much his style of teaching that when he called
me out to read, the comfortable atmosphere he created gave
me the courage to stand. I normally get very nervous when
it comes to doing things in front of people because I fear
making mistakes. I wasn't nervous and I did mess up! I had
my travel Bible and I couldn't see all the words to read.
LOL! But it was ok and I didn't feel awkward or out of place.
I know I can speak for my daughter as well. We appreciated
his teaching and involving everyone in the study of God's
Word. Like I said before, we have been blessed by attending.

Joyce Caldwell - State Student VBS
Multiplier |
There is nothing like the excitement of over 1000 Vacation
Bible School Leaders coming together for a weekend of training,
equipping, and fellowship. It is loud, energetic, and FUN!
Indiana's State Vacation Bible School Team, 20 members strong,
joined leaders from across the USA at Ridgecrest Conference
Center in North Carolina for the National VBS Institute January
10-12.
Joyce Caldwell from Come As You Are Community Church joined
the team for a second year. She partners with Joe Mayes as
a State Student VBS Multiplier. Joyce brings a passion for
equipping youth leaders, showing them how Youth VBS can impact
the lives of students in the local church and prepare them
to be workers, assisting preschool and children's VBS teachers.
As you can see, Joyce was busy meeting new friends from Indiana,
other states, and of course LifeWay. It is a blessing to
see God raise up leaders, like Joyce, from the local church
to encourage and equip others across Indiana. |

January 2008
One year ago, God put a vision in the heart of Jimmie Ruffin

and with God's provision Pastor Jimmie and approximately
30 charter members launched New Life Community Church on
January 7, 2007. Today, the members of NLCC are reaching
out evangelistically, edifying the body spiritually and exalting
Christ supremely as they celebrate their one-year anniversary.

"We praise God for the support and prayers of Come

Glora Thomas-Alexander
I am a mother of four children that went back to college
to work on my third degree. When I graduated from Wayne
High School in 1987 I also received a license in Cosmetology.
After being out of high school for eleven years I went
to Ivy Tech to receive my second degree at the age of
thirty. I received an Associates degree as a Paralegal.
I went on to IPFW to receive a degree in criminal justice.
While working on my degree I changed careers and went
into early childhood education. I opened my own home
day care and ran it for five years.
I went back to Ivy Tech to receive an Associates degree
in Early Childhood Education. While working on that
degree I have moved to Florida and gotten married. I
continued to take my classes on line while working a
full time job. I have worked hard to earn the degrees
I have and I have opened another home day care here
in Florida. I intend to use my degree to within the
next two years open a daycare center. I have found that
working with children is where I love to be and that
is where God has called me to be.
With all the degrees I have they are all connected because
God has placed me in many different situations where
I needed to know something that I had learned in my
education realm. Working with children makes fills me
with excitement and joy because they are always willing
to learn something new. I also love the fact that they
are willing to teach me something they have learned.
With my degree in early childhood education I can work
at the different detention centers if I choose. This
degree along with the degrees in criminal justice has
opened many doors. If God sends me to work with the
juveniles than that is what I will do. In the mean time
I will continue to run my daycare at home. |

premium single-family homes, restaurants and other retail
space, professional and medical office buildings, and a
relocated area within the development for a new home to
Come As You Are Community Church and the existing Timothy
L Johnson Academy. This fully integrated “village”
would provide a number of amenities including pedestrian
greenways, a nature preserve, common areas and an athletic
field area for the school and neighborhood.
The project, called South Anthony Pointe, is located next
door to the Church, and would be the first of its kind for
the Southeast Quandrant. The development is adjacent to
SouthTowne Center and the new Public Safety Academy.
The response to the proposal was overwhelmingly positive.
One abutter applauded the initiative, and thanked the Church
for holding the meeting. Several participants tried to reserve
particular parcels. According to Pastor Payton, “South
Anthony Pointe is a reflection of the good and positive
synergies occurring on the Southeast side of Fort Wayne.
This development helps build the market, but the analysis
undertaken to date shows a strong demand for a market based
mixed use development in this area in response to publicly
funded initiatives previously undertaken by the City of
Fort Wayne. We see this as an extension to the mission of
the Church in helping to build a stronger community in Southeast
Fort Wayne, thereby helping the Fort Wayne community as
a whole.”
Come As You Are Community Church is the owner and sponsor.
The development team is lead by Lawrence Dean, Project Manager,
(of First Financial Holding Corporation in Boston, MA),
and includes Curtis Davis – Master Planner (Founding
Principal – Rebuildit Collaborative in Boston), Tom
Niezer and Josh Neal of the law firm of Barrett and McNagny
in Fort Wayne, and Todd Bauer, Civil Engineer, of Foresight
Consulting in Fort Wayne. Also presenting were Merl Code,
President, and Gabriel Thomas, Vice President, both of MSMC
Consulting, a national Financial Services Company.

| TCT Partners Update! |
The month of May is a very special time for
TCT. It was on May 20, 1977 that TCT, then known as Cincinnati
Christian Communications, was incorporated. Now, three decades
later, TCT broadcasts the Gospel on 18 U.S. stations, over
10 global satellites, as well as on cable and DirecTV, channel
377.
Tina and I could not have imagined where God would lead us
when we began this journey back in 1977. We believe as you
partner with TCT, you are also taking this journey with us
to win souls for Jesus. We thank you for standing with us
and hope you'll join us as we celebrate 30 years of ministry!
REVIVAL CONTINUES
Revival continues to sweep over the TCT Network as
many pastors and ministers joined me at our WINM station near
Fort Wayne, Indiana. The power of God touched the lives of
viewers as Bishop Anthony Payton of Come Just As You Are Community
Church shared an anointed word of God's grace to bring humanity
out of bondage.
Anthony Payton at WINM Revival The same anointing was felt
in Detroit as the TCT Revival circled back to the Motor City
last night for the National Day of Prayer . Bishop C.L. Morton,
presiding Bishop of the Canadian (International) Full Gospel
Fellowship preached a Holy Ghost-inspired message through
which the power of God was mightily demonstrated.
More than twenty pastors crowded our WDWO studio bringing
with them over 200 excited members from their congregations.
We praised, worshipped, and rejoiced in the Spirit as the
power of God reached across the TCT Network and accomplished
His purpose!
I again want to thank the vocalists and musicians whose anointed
music ministries helped usher in the presence of God. To all
of our pastors and friends, we are indeed family and I thank
you sincerely for your continued support.
MOTORCYCLE ENTHUSIASTS
BRINGING THE GOSPEL
Last Sunday afternoon, I was able take advantage of the beautiful
day by attending a motorcycle event here in Southern Illinois
called the "Blessing of the Bikes." This event, sponsored
by the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA), had several
thousand bikers in attendance. It was a wonderful opportunity
for bike enthusiasts to have special prayer for a safe riding
season and to receive a cross to carry with them.
Blessing of the Bikes Prayer Recently the Eastern Chapter
of Chariots of Light produced an exciting TCT Alive program
at our TCT studios in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Chariots of Light on TCT Alive in Greensboro, NC Chariots
of Light is a Christian Motorcycle Club which spreads the
Gospel through a variety of ministries including rallies,
church services, neighborhood meetings, charity, and media.
Bill and Ginger Horn, International Directors, brought their
club to the studios to share some great testimonies and showcase
some great "chariots." God is using this ministry to reach
motorcycle enthusiasts in rallies numbering 200,000. He is
also using TCT to bring this message to you, our viewer.
If you too are a biking fan, you will want to catch this fun
program in a future airing of TCT Alive.

2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (CT), as we celebrate 30 years of God's
favor!
You'll enjoy special music from your TCT favorites and testimonies
of how God has blessed TCT throughout three decades of ministry.
You won't want to miss this weeklong special event!
WE'VE GOT MAIL.
I want to praise God for TCT. I watch TCT every day. I have
been truly blessed by the programming. I enjoy Ask the Pastor
. I even called in for prayer and the Prayer Partners agreed
with me to get a job. The good Lord blessed me with one. Thank
you, Jesus! My life has been changed so much by watching TCT
and reading my Bible. - Illinois
I have been going through some trouble in my marriage of 18
years of late, but with your programs on TCT, I have been
able to gain back some peace and joy in my life. The storm
is still blowing but I know I can lean on the name of Jesus.
The programs that have been blessing me the most lately are
The Joys of Oneness, He Chose You, TCT Alive, Victory in Jesus
and others. - Michigan
I am writing to tell you what a blessing TCT is. I came home
yesterday and one of your Prayer Partners had called to ask
if there was anything they could pray about. I wasn't home
but the Prayer Partner prayed for all our needs to be met
and that we would have unity in our home in the Lord! I cried
when I heard this message and knew God cared. I am very thankful
to have someone pray for our family. Thank you! Thank you!
Thank you! - New York
If you have been looking for a good time to sow a special
gift into TCT, now is the time. Tina and I deeply appreciate
your support. We pray that God will open to you the windows
of heaven as you help touch people all over the world with
the message of the cross.
Bless you, Garth |
